Before I open them.... they have white "spots" all over them, is that normal? They almost look like stress spots... Odds are very good those are some sprinklings of talc powder in the bags. They should have a little bit of a chrystal look about them. I just tie knots in each end and put them in? Yup! The strings will stabilize faster and sound better if you stretch on them before you install. I should probably fold some of these questions into the Ashbory Technical FAQ.
