Just found out my Ashbory's neck is bowed back.  THAT's why the low F and Bb buzz.  (It's my first Ashbory, and I got it used on eBay, & for a long time thought I just didn't know how to play it.)  The repairman says there's no way to fix it--there's nothing to adjust, and his only idea was to sand down the neck, which would be a total mess.  I don't know if the neck was warped when it came in the mail, 8 months ago, or whether 8 months in dry, high Utah have affected the wood.

Has anyone out there had this problem?  Even better, has anyone had this problem and found a solution?  In summer 2008, somebody wrote in this forum that he was he going to try to bend the neck back into true, but that thread stopped there--don't know how it turned out.

I also think my E string produces less sound than the others--don't know if that's related to the neck problem.  I had to phone all over Salt Lake before I finally found a repairman who had ever worked on an Ashbory--any suggestions for finding good repair help?

Thanks!

Would it be possible to heat-treat the neck? It involves using heat and a jig that braces the neck to bend it in the opposite direction of the warp. Good luthiers should know about such things.
