Hello,

Where can the Ashbory bass be found in the UK. What is the average price. Any recommendation?

Thanks

Theoretically any Fender dealer should be able to supply an Ashbory - it's in their catalogue, though bizarely listed in the spares and parts. My local dealer has sold one to a friend of mine, so it can be done, though as it's likely to be a special order he may be pretty fixed on charging the rrp. Could try cash, might swing a discount.

Best of luck

I got mine from McCormacks in Glasgow. They started stocking them a while back. When i first saw it it was £269.99, but when i went back to get it it'd come down to £249.99. Never seen one in any other shop so cant help with other prices.

Replacement strings apparently cost £25 a set tho and all the US sites that i found wont sell them to the UK!

And I just broke my G-string too....

Like Mike said, any Fender dealer should be able to order one for you. I think I paid about £270 for mine last year. You may have to convince the dealer that they still exist as I spoke to a few who were convinced it had been discontinued.
