I bought a Digitech BP50 to use as a cheap headphone amp for my Ashbory.
It needs to be treated with a bit of care, as it's housed in a lightweight plastic case. However, the sounds are excellent for a low-budget digital pedal. Reverb tails, etc., are handled nicely, and the background noise level is extremely low.
I took a while to tweak the presets and re-sort them into a logical order, but I like the sound of some of them so much that I've started using the BP50 on gigs!
I'm a major tone freak, and I don't like the combination of the BP50 with my fancy fretted five-string. The pedal seems to filter out a bunch of the detail and growl that makes that bass appealing.
However, with the Ashbory I don't notice any loss of tone, just a bunch of interesting new sounds.
Ashbory + BP50 rates a 9 out of 10 in my book...
