thumb playing for ex-pick users + strap idea
« on: December 08, 2004, 03:43:46 AM »

I found just playing with my thumb mostly is great for overall sound, and it's a more comfortable adjustment for a bass player who is used to using a pick all the time.
+ I found if you have a nice strap from a "business" type bag or travel bag - it can be used very nicely for a strap!

I hold my ashbory like a ukulele under my arm and play a lot with my thumb, and use a cheap guitar strap on the standard buttons, no problem.
Found a nice lapsteel flightcase, until now never broke a string in the gigbag.
The replacement g- an d-string are pre-streched on a piece wood waiting till I need them....................
