I love my ashbory. I also love 5 strings....  Has anyone made a 5-string ahsbory?? Is there a pickup available?? Has anyone made a pickup??

There has never been a 5 string Ashbory, at least not to my knowledge.

I play upright bass.  I took my bass to Heinel's in Toronto and had them put on an extention to take the bass to Low C.  I play a lot of classical stuff and need the lower notes.

I did the same thing with my Ashbory.  I built a low C  extention, there was just enough room to get to low C.  The action is a little high, but its fairly easy to play because the strins are low tension
