Pseudo-Arco?

Has anyone managed to get a sustained 'arco'-type sound out of their rig?

I imagine some tap-dancing on a digital delay (set to near-infinite repeat) and a volume pedal could do the trick...

I'm not familiar with the term 'Arco'. Is it a upright bass technique, or is my English just lacking?

It's an upright bass technique (I think the technical term comes from Italian) - playing with the bow, often for sustained notes or legato passages.

Owww... it's playing with a bow. Thanks for clearing that up :) .
I haven't gotten such a sound out of my Ash, but I must confess I haven't been trying very hard...
