The present and future of Ashbory
« on: March 04, 2008, 07:42:17 AM »

As some of you have probably noticed, Ashbory Basses are in short supply at present. This is occurring for one (or both) of two reasons:
1. Fender has been doing some changes since acquiring Kaman.
2. Production has moved to Indonesia.

How do we feel about it? Well, we're less than happy about the lack of supply of present. We are happy about the production in Indonesia. We haven't received a silent bass yet, something we couldn't say about Korean production. More importantly, moving production to another facility (along with word from Alun Jones last year that contracts were renewed) is an obvious indicator that the Ashbory is here to stay.
