New Asbory player in N. Ca
« on: March 18, 2008, 09:08:02 PM »

I got my blue Ashbory the end Feb. I took it to rehearsal and then to a performance at the Sr. resident home. At the first rehearsal in the Sr Center folks were coming in and looking at me and the Ashbory then I got compliments on the wonderful sound after rehearsal.

At our first gig in the Senior Residence home it was greeted with curiosity by several people and I talked to them about it. After we played two tunes a women in the balcony called out stop! What is she playing? So we did a quick description of the Ashbory and continued. After the gig she came up to me and was dismayed that I had put it away. So I unpacked it and showed it to her.  She will be visiting Large Sound for more information. So it is a hit and I am happy with it. She won't be buying but is interested in new things.

I just got more strings yesterday (Thanks Kelley) as I have broken and repaired a G (2x) and a D. On the third break the G could not be fixed so I am relieved to have more strings.

Genre? One R&R Band and the Sr Center band that plays oldies for oldies.

Hi to all! Julie
