New Ashbory bassist
« on: March 29, 2008, 09:56:27 PM »

I am a former classical guitarist/lutenist who lost sensation in much of my right hand, and have taken up bass as a way to make music.

Since my favorite modern music runs to prog rock and indie, I love the way the Ashbory's scale length and action makes bass lines like Levin and Squire a lot easier to keep up with. I think it is easier to hammer and pull on the Ashbory than on my classical.

The E string is a tiny bit murky, and I love the sound of acoustic bass, so I may give the Bass Uke strings at try.
