Anyone ever try the SansAmp Bass Driver DI?

Has anyone ever try the SansAmp Bass Driver DI on the Ashbory?  It's been very popular for standard electric basses.

there should be a brand new ashbory on my doorstep tomorrow!  I use the sansamp para driver di (which replaces the bass driver's presence knob with a mid sweep control)

on my regular p bass the sansamp can be quite the combination safe - the mid and drive controls interact a lot... but the overall tone is velvety and often too subby. the drive can get transistory but there is a sweet spot at about 2 or 3 where is soaks up the transients nice and evenly. it's a good tool to get a fat tone with dodgy backline, but it reduces dynamics a bit too much for me...

it will get a full workout don't worry. give me a week or so to get the feel of the ash and i'll post some samples =)  feel free to bump this thread to remind me!  cheers
