Yamaha Stagepas 250M
« on: January 09, 2009, 10:39:14 AM »

I needed something that I could play my Ashbory through but I couldn't justify the space or cost of a dedicated bass amp so I've just got myself a Yamaha Stagepas 250M.  It's basically a PA speaker with a built in (but removable) powered mixer.  You'll find some info here:

I haven't had a chance to put it through its paces yet but I have been able to test it out as a practice amp.  I bought it thinking that I would need a DI box for the Ash but it works fine plugged straight into one of the mono channels, which means that it makes a nice combo practice amp for the Ash with built in reverb and compression (as well as being usable as a small PA in it's own right or part of a larger PA system).
