I wonder how quickly it triggers? I've played MIDI basses (that were quite old) with dedicated synth pickups on them, and they didn't keep up. This one doesn't have the advantage of a dedicated pickup, but does have the advantage of being more modern.

Slow tracking drives me nuts! Maybe in 2009 one can plug into a box and trigger external sounds quickly if they so desire. Not sure how often I'd use sucha a thing, but it sounds like a neat option.

According to the main website this will only work for the following note range E2 to E6. Though some people are asking if they'll make one for bass. http://www.sonuus.com/products.html

They've now brought out the B2M, the bass version. I want to find somewhere reasonably close to have a play with one (with both bass guitar and Ashbory).

Phew! So my original post wasn't in vain after all. I hope the tracking is good...

Ive seen a few homemade Ashborys with so much free space in the body (such as Violin Bass Ashbory) that you could probably take the electronics out of this gizmo and integrate it into the bass itself.
