Rockabilly slap sound

Has anyone tried to get a rockabilly type slap sound out of an Ashbory? I should have my new Ashbory in a week or so but can't wait that long to find out.
I know from hearing sound files that you can get an awesome upright bass sound but there are no examples of rockabilly slap.

Just for the record I have had the bass for around 2 years now and I have not been able to get a rockabilly slap type sound. I still LOVE this bass though.  ;D
