I'm a beginner, I'm not a beginner.
Several times in life I've tried to start playing bass but didn't stick with it. My new Ashbory is my fourth bass. My last bass was the best of the batch, a Danelectro Longhorn which I probably got at the beginning of the decade. That one was at least the one that wasn't as overwhelming size-wise as previous ones. It also was the model that was most friendly to the female form when this lefty plays an instrument flipped.
I usually refer to myself as someone who threatens to learn to play an instrument, and will noodle with something a little. Then flake.
I wish the Ashbory and I met sooner.
In my heart, I'd always wanted a fretless. In my matured music tastes, I do so adore the sound of an upright. The spacing of notes along the Ashbory neck are where my feminine fingers are most intuitively comfortable. This is the most natural feeling an instrument has been for me.
My Ashbory was purchased locally as b-stock. There was a problem with the tuning peg for the G. I just purchased a new one here at Large Sound and my husband installed it before I even got home from work.
My model is the blue one, which I call Tardis. I'll be on the other sections of the board with a ton of questions. Thanks for this site.
I've also recently taken up the ukulele.
