Okay...  my ex suggested that the strings might be made to glow, if you were to fit a light source to the end of the string. 

I knew I should never have split up with her :)

Anyone tried anything like this?

Funny, we were just talking about this at work on Friday.  The silicon strings would look fantastic if lit up!  There must be some way to get a light source in 'em (kind of like fiber optics).
