New stuff: thanks Mike Tavener, Ian A. Anderson of fRoots
« on: June 21, 2003, 06:42:52 PM »

Mike Tavener sent me a CD o' scans with 80's and early 90's magazine articles and more about the Ashbory. Some of that has surfaced on LargeSound.com at last! Extra thanks go out to Mike for scanning the stuff, putting it together, and putting it on a CD.

Here's the newest additions to LargeSound.com Resources:

1. Ashbory Bass article in Folk Roots Magazine (UK), April 1986
-- Ian A. Anderson is the publisher of the magazine (see http://www.fRootsMag.com ) and he wrote this article in '86 and gave me permission to reproduce it here. Special thanks to Ian A. Anderson!:

2. Guild Instruction Sheets
-- These came with the Guild Ashbory Basses, but I can't find mine :( . Again, Mike comes through with some scans:

3. Early Ashbory instruction sheet
-- Check out this gem! Chalk this one up as "coolest contribution to date":

There's more stuff on that disc I'll have to see if I can get reproduction clearence for. Again, thanks to to Ian A. Anderson of fRoots, and of course Mike for sending in all this stuff.
